Restorative and Chair
My students are mostly older than me. They have nothing to prove and it makes them wonderful to teach.
Sarita’s knee was replaced in 2014 and her physiotherapist suggested yoga in the way people suggest things they do not expect you to do. She went, hated the first six weeks, and has practised almost every day since.
She started teaching at fifty-nine because the classes she wanted did not exist: slow, unhurried, and unembarrassed about chairs, blocks and stopping. She now runs the restorative timetable and a Wednesday chair practice, and the props cupboard is the size it is entirely because of her.
Her students are mostly over fifty and she is unapologetic that this shapes how she teaches. She is also the first person to tell someone that a shape is not worth it today.
Qualifications shown are illustrative sample data for this template. A live studio should publish only what it can evidence.
