Breathwork
Sitting still and learning to breathe.
Breathwork and Meditation
Nobody arrives wanting to sit still. They arrive wanting to sleep, and sitting still is how we get there.
Dinesh spent eleven years building software and describes the burnout at the end of it as entirely predictable and entirely his own doing. Breathing practice was the first thing that helped that did not involve buying anything.
He trained for three hundred hours in pranayama and meditation, took the MBSR teacher track, and is careful and repetitive about the limits of what he does: breathwork is not therapy, he is not a clinician, and some patterns are wrong for some people.
He teaches the pranayama classes and the Friday evening silence, and he is the person to ask whether a practice is likely to help with sleep, because he will give you an honest and often disappointing answer.
