Petite Verdot is rarely made as a varietal — typically blended in small amounts for its color and structure. We believe our Stags Leap block produces something singular enough to stand alone. This is for collectors and the genuinely curious.
Nose
Deep and brooding — inky blackberry, violet, and licorice give way to a distinctive slate minerality and dark espresso.
Palate
Muscular and powerful with assertive but refined tannins. This is a wine of extraordinary concentration and structural intensity. Patience will be rewarded.
Finish
Enormous — the violet and slate notes carry on for minutes. A wine built for a decade of cellaring.
