Vermentino · Willow Creek District
Tasting Notes
An unusual variety for California, Vermentino found its home in the calcareous limestone soils of the Willow Creek District. We've vinified it as they do in Sardinia — cold fermentation, stainless steel, no oak — letting the variety's natural saline character ring out.
Nose
Bright and aromatic — lemon blossom, crushed almond, and a distinctive fennel-herb note that recalls the wild scrubland of the vineyard's edges.
Palate
Light to medium body with a vibrant, almost sharp acidity. The palate shows white grapefruit, green almond, and an alluring bitter finish that is quintessentially Vermentino.
Finish
Crisp and clean with a pleasantly bitter almond note.

"Good wine and good food share the same principle — balance. We choose pairings that neither overpower the wine nor let it overwhelm the dish."
