Staying
Every fitting below the switch line is red, in all four rooms. It sounds severe until the second night, when you notice you can still see the Milky Way from the doorway after twenty minutes indoors.

South-east, over the ridge

West, open horizon
The room most people ask for a second time. West-facing with nothing between the deck and the horizon except eleven kilometres of flat ground, which means you can watch objects set rather than losing them behind the ridge.
$190per night
Enclosed courtyard
The only room here that works for a family or a group of four. Two bedrooms off a shared room with a table big enough to spread charts on, which is what it mostly gets used for.
$260per night
Attached to the original 2011 dome
Built into the shell of the first dome on the site, which held a 200 mm reflector from 2011 until Vaciado replaced the whole building in 2014. The dome no longer opens; the slit is glazed and the shutter mechanism is still bolted to the wall where it was.
