The Challenge

The landlord's base building had a 10-foot structural beam bisecting the retail floor at exactly the wrong point — directly in the sightline from the entrance to the hero product wall. Standard bulkhead treatments would have made the obstruction worse. The tenant's lease-required substantial completion date allowed only 7 calendar months from permit issuance.

Our Approach

We redesigned the floor plan so the beam becomes a design element: the terrazzo pour wraps its base in a stepped plinth, creating a natural merchandising platform. The hand-troweled plaster was applied by a single specialist plasterer over four weeks — one consistent hand, one consistent texture. Scent diffusion tubing runs in the ceiling cavity to ten micro-nozzles, connected to a behind-the-scenes reservoir.

The Outcome

This illustrative result pattern shows where a verified opening date, approved campaign metric, and documented follow-on engagement could support the story.
