Mixed Flower Bouquet
A seasonal cut-flower bouquet — whatever is blooming best on the farm right now.
Big, golden, long-stemmed — grown in our south field from seed each spring.
Direct-sown into the south field in late April and May in three successions. Plants reach 1.5–2m and are staked against wind. Stems are cut at 60cm+ with a sharp knife in the early morning, and immediately placed in deep cold water.
Five long-stemmed sunflowers, harvested when the petals are just beginning to open. We grow three varieties — the classic Sunspot, the branching Autumn Beauty with its rust and gold tones, and the dark-centred ProCut Black. Available August and September.
