Calibre was established on a single conviction: that a watch movement, examined under magnification, should be as beautiful as the dial facing the world. Every bridge is hand-bevelled, every steel component mirror-polished, every spring adjusted in five positions — not because a buyer will ever see it, but because the maker will.
Our movement manufacture occupies a single atelier on the valley floor, where the same air pressure, humidity, and silence that governed the great ébauches of the nineteenth century still prevails. A watchmaker at Calibre serves a seven-year apprenticeship before signing a movement. This is not a romantic anachronism — it is a prerequisite of precision.
We produce fewer than two hundred movements per year. Not by constraint, but by choice.
