Private journeys

Built entirely around your group.

Your dates, your pace, your people. A local trip designer shapes the route and the same guides lead it.

A high glacial valley in the Nepal Himalaya

About a third of what we run is private. Sometimes that is a family who need shorter days, sometimes a group of eight who want the Manaslu Circuit in a window that does not match our departures, and sometimes a route that is not on this site at all.

A private trip is not a premium version of a scheduled one. It costs roughly what a scheduled departure costs at the same group size — larger groups cost less per person, not more.

How it works

Four steps, no pressure.

Enquiries are answered within one working day, in Nepal time.

  1. Tell us what you want

The form below, or an email. Rough dates, group size, and what you are hoping the trip feels like. Two paragraphs is plenty.

  2. We reply within one working day

Usually with questions rather than a quote. If we think another route suits you better, that is what the reply will say.

  3. A route and a price

A day-by-day outline with accommodation, guide, permits and a fixed per-person price at your group size. Two rounds of changes are normal.

  4. Confirm with a deposit

Twenty percent secures the dates and the guide. The balance is due 45 days before departure.

Two paragraphs is plenty. Rough dates and group size help most.

Private trips suit

  • Families who need shorter days and flexible rest stops
  • Groups of six or more, where the per-person price drops
  • Dates that do not match a scheduled departure
  • Routes that combine two of our journeys into one
  • Photography and writing trips built around light rather than distance
  • Corporate and university groups needing risk documentation

Eight friends who wanted the full circuit plus the hidden valley, in a November window we do not schedule.

2 travellers · 11 days · Mustang
