Tomás has logged more hours at Umbra's eyepieces than anyone, and keeps the observing log that the journal on this site is drawn from. If a number on these pages describes what a night was actually like, it came from that log.
The photometry programme is a long-running set of measurements on southern Mira variables — unglamorous, cumulative, and the sort of work an observatory this size can genuinely contribute to.
