Beyond the room

Experiences

A sail at sunset. A dawn dive. The morning in the kitchen garden. The experiences that outlast the holiday.

Sunset Sail

3 hours

2–8 guests

Aboard our classic wooden ketch, guests leave the harbour an hour before sunset and sail to the headland with cold wine, oysters and the unhurried understanding that this particular light happens only once. The return is made in the dark, by the stars.

  • Vintage ketch, capacity 8
  • Champagne, oysters & seasonal canapés
  • Sunset at the headland

Reef Snorkelling

2 hours

2–6 guests

Led by a certified marine biologist, this guided snorkel explores the shallow reef system directly off the resort's private beach. The reef is genuinely remarkable — home to seahorses, octopus and reef fish in a riot of colour. Equipment is provided; no experience is required.

  • Marine biologist guide
  • All snorkelling equipment provided
  • Seahorse & octopus habitat zone

Deep-Sea Diving

Half day (4 hours)

2–4 guests

PADI-certified instruction for beginners or guided dive trips for certified divers. The offshore drop-off reveals a wall of coral at 15–30m depth, frequented by manta rays between October and February. Our dive boat leaves from the private jetty at 7 am.

  • PADI certified instruction available
  • Manta ray season Oct–Feb
  • Deep wall at 15–30m

Lagoon Kayak

2–4 hours

Solo or pairs

Sea kayaks and paddleboards are available complimentary to all resort guests throughout the day. The sheltered lagoon is ideal for beginners; more experienced paddlers can circumnavigate the headland, an hour's paddle of genuine beauty.

  • Complimentary for all guests
  • Sea kayaks & paddleboards
  • Sheltered lagoon for beginners

Coastal Hike

3 or 5 hours

2–10 guests

Two curated routes along the coastal path: a 3-hour morning walk to the lighthouse and back, and a full 5-hour circuit of the headland that takes in the old salt works, a sea cave accessible only at low tide, and a clifftop lunch with views the guidebooks don't show.

  • Guided by a local naturalist
  • Two route options: 3h or 5h
  • Sea cave access at low tide

Fisherman's Dawn

4 hours (5 am–9 am)

2–4 guests

Leave in darkness with a local fishing family and return as the resort wakes. What you catch determines the day's catch of the day at The Estuary. An experience for those who genuinely want to understand where the fish on their plate came from — and to earn it.

  • Traditional fishing with local family
  • Pre-dawn departure from jetty
  • Your catch goes to The Estuary

Cooking with Chef Amara

3 hours

2–6 guests

Chef Amara Osei opens the kitchen garden at 9 am. Guests select the morning's harvest, learn the restaurant's curing and preservation methods, and cook a three-course lunch they then eat together at the long table under the fig tree.

  • Led by Chef Amara Osei
  • Garden harvest + kitchen session
  • Curing, preservation & plating techniques

Clifftop Sunrise Yoga

75 minutes

Up to 8 guests

A daily practice on the clifftop platform at dawn — a slow hatha sequence calibrated for guests at rest rather than performance. The view as the sun clears the horizon is, without exaggeration, one of the most beautiful things the resort offers.

  • Clifftop platform with sunrise view
  • Slow hatha, all levels
  • Mats, blocks & blankets provided
