Growing notes

Started under glass in April, planted out in early June in rows with 90cm spacing. The long, hot growing season we get in our south-facing fields allows the squash to develop full sweetness before the first frosts.

  • Cured for 2 weeks post-harvest
  • Stores for up to 4 months
  • Deep, concentrated sweetness
  • Perfect for roasting and soups

About this product

Our butternut squash is grown slowly through summer and harvested in September when the skin has hardened to a deep tan. We then cure them in our barn for two weeks — this extra step converts starches to sugars and allows them to store for months.
