Low Orbit

Low Orbit was made almost entirely on the road, in transit, between cities. Most of it was sketched on a laptop and a single microphone in hotel rooms; the gravity of touring life is all over it — the rooms that look the same in every country, the strange weightlessness of being nowhere for a living.

It was the first TIMBRE record to find a wide audience, and it still feels like the most honest one — the sound of someone learning how to disappear into the work and finding the work loved them back.
