Autonomy & safety
Fly the shot. Not the drone.
Four flight modes handle the camera move; four safety systems handle everything that could go wrong while it does.
- 01
Orbit
Locks a radius around any subject and circles it hands-free — the classic reveal, timed to the frame every take.
- 02
Dolly
A perfectly linear push or pull at a programmable speed, with no throttle wobble to clean up in post.
- 03
Track
Follows a moving subject at a fixed distance and height, correcting for turns and speed changes automatically.
- 04
Waypoint
Plot a flight path on the map before takeoff; STRATUS flies it exactly, repeatably, shot after shot.
- 05
Geofencing
Draw a hard flight boundary before you launch — the airframe will not cross it, wind or no wind.
- 06
Return-to-home
Loses signal or drops below reserve battery, and STRATUS retraces its recorded path to the takeoff point automatically.
- 07
Obstacle sensing
Six-direction vision sensing brakes or reroutes around obstacles in Orbit, Track and Waypoint modes.
- 08
Battery failsafe
At 15% reserve STRATUS forces a landing prompt; below 8% it lands itself, wherever it is.
