How we travel

Find your kind of journey

Every ODYSSEY journey belongs to one of six styles — each built around a different kind of experience, a different pace, a different kind of traveller.

Why travel with us

Travel that leaves something behind — in you, and in the places you visit.

ODYSSEY was founded on a single conviction: that the best travel isn't about comfort or convenience — it's about the quality of encounter. With a local guide who knows the language and the history. In a group small enough to be flexible. At a pace that allows for the unplanned.

Our story

Small groups by design

Maximum 12 travellers — usually 6–8. Small enough that you can go where you want, stay when something's worth staying for, and eat where locals eat.

Local experts, not scripts

Our guides are specialists — naturalists, historians, chefs — who live and work in the places they show you. Their knowledge is not a brochure.

Carbon-considered from day one

We offset every journey's emissions, favour overland over air where time allows, and direct a share of every booking to in-destination conservation funds.

Tailor-made at heart

Every fixed itinerary began as a tailor-made request. If the itinerary isn't quite right, tell us — we'll redesign it around you.

In their words

Real travellers, real journeys

We sat at the Mara River for two hours as thousands of wildebeest paced the bank. Then, all at once, they went. Nothing I've seen on a screen prepared me for the sound.

Serengeti: The Great Migration

Our hosts in Haa Valley cooked us dinner, showed us photographs of their grandchildren, and then sang. It was the most unexpected evening of our lives.

Bhutan: Kingdom of the Dragon

At 5am, the Torres were dark. By 6am they were fire. I have been a travel photographer for twelve years. I have never deleted so few frames.
