The brief

A new private bank wanted to feel like a trusted advisor, not a fintech. The challenge: warmth and craft without losing the gravity that money demands.

Our approach

We borrowed the language of fine stationery — vellum textures, letterpress type, generous margins — and engineered it into a fast, accessible product. The app reads like a beautifully set document. Trust, here, is a typographic decision as much as a security one.

The brief

Make finance feel handwritten.

Private banking sells trust, yet the category looks identical and cold. Vellum wanted the warmth of an old correspondence and the speed of a modern app.

The idea

Treat the brand like fine paper.

Letterpress proportions, warm neutrals, an editorial type system. Every screen is set like a page in a private ledger — composed, calm, considered.

The build

A document you can transact inside.

We turned the craft into a real, accessible product: a design system where typography carries the trust and the interactions stay quick and quiet.

Outcomes

What changed.

These fictional outcome metrics demonstrate how a production case study can connect design decisions to measurable results. Replace them with verified data before launch.

Our clients say the app feels like a letter from someone who knows them. That is exactly the bank we wanted to be.
