Skilled professionals spend two to four weeks in our programme communities — teaching, building, healing, growing. We place healthcare workers, engineers, teachers, business trainers, and technologists. Travel is self-funded; accommodation and in-country support are provided.

Placements available year-round in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Bangladesh, Nepal, Ghana, and Senegal
Duration: 2 weeks or 4 weeks (minimum 2 weeks)
Skills needed: teaching, health, engineering, IT, business, agriculture, community development
Accommodation and local transport arranged by KINDRED
In-country KINDRED coordinator assigned to each volunteer

Join one of our annual fundraising events or create your own. Our three flagship events — the Water Walk (March), the Reading Relay (September), and the KINDRED 10K (November) — raise hundreds of thousands of dollars every year from thousands of participants.

Water Walk Challenge: walk the distance a water-collector walks daily (3.7 miles) and collect pledges
Reading Relay: read books in September, collect a pledge per chapter from your network
