The story
Amelia Poole came to porcelain from architecture, and it shows in the work — clean shoulders, considered weight, a foot ring finished as carefully as the lip. She casts and trims in a daylight studio above a bakery, where the smell of bread has become part of the process.
Her palette stays deliberately quiet: bone, oat, a single fog-grey. The restraint lets the material speak. Hold one of her cups to a window and the porcelain glows.
In the studio
Slip-cast in fine porcelain, bisque-fired, then glazed and fired again to cone 6. The translucency you see is the clay body itself, not a finish.
