A home for things made by hand.

HEWN exists for a simple reason: the best objects in a home are almost always the ones a person made. We built a marketplace that treats those objects — and the people who make them — with the care they deserve.

Why we started.

The big marketplaces flattened handmade. A wheel-thrown mug that took a potter a decade to learn to make sits next to a thousand identical factory ones, sorted by whoever paid for the ad. The maker disappears. The story disappears. The price collapses.

We wanted the opposite. HEWN is small and stays small on purpose — a curated shelf, not an infinite scroll. Every maker is vetted by a person. Every product page leads back to the human who made it. And every piece is something you could keep for the rest of your life.

Made by hand. Made to last. That's the whole brief.

Our curation standards

Genuinely handmade

Every piece is made or substantially shaped by the maker's own hands — thrown, carved, woven, forged, poured or stitched. No drop-shipping, no white-labelled factory goods, no resellers. We ask, and we check.

Honest about everything

Lead times, materials, what's in stock versus made to order, what a return looks like — it's all stated plainly on the page. If something takes three weeks to make, we say three weeks. No fine print.

Built to last and to mend

We favour natural materials and real construction — joinery over screws, full-grain over bonded, glaze over paint. Things that age into something better and can be repaired, not landfilled.

Come see what people are making.

Browse the marketplace, meet the makers, or — if you make something worth keeping — open a storefront of your own.
