From call to kWh
How We Install Your Solar
Six phases. Typically six weeks for a residential system. We handle permits, utilities, and inspection — you just flip the switch.
01
Consultation & Site Assessment
What happens
- 30-minute call with your HELIO energy consultant to understand your goals, usage, and budget
- Remote satellite analysis of your roof to evaluate size, pitch, shading, and orientation
- Optional in-person site visit for more complex properties
- Review of your last 12 months of utility bills to size the system correctly
What you do
Answer a few questions, share a recent utility bill, let us do the rest.
02
Custom System Design
What happens
- 3D shading simulation using hourly irradiance data for your specific location
- Panel placement optimised for maximum generation, avoiding obstructions
- String inverter or microinverter selection based on your roof configuration
- Battery sizing calculation if backup power is a goal
- 25-year cash-flow model and proposal shared via secure portal
What you do
Review the proposal and design. Ask questions — this is your system.
03
Permits & Interconnection
What happens
- Electrical permit application filed with your city or county
- Structural engineering letter (if required by local jurisdiction)
- Interconnection application submitted to your utility company
- HOA approval coordination if applicable
