Why a tailored approach matters
Different areas of the face and body have different needs. The texture of the hair, condition of the skin and your recent skincare all influence how a waxing service should be approached.
EMBER offers both facial and body waxing. Your therapist selects an appropriate wax and technique, works in manageable sections and checks comfort throughout.
What to expect
- 01
A brief consultation
Share sensitivities, recent exfoliation, prescription skincare and previous reactions before the service begins.
- 02
Clean preparation
The area is prepared and protected before wax is applied with close attention to temperature and direction.
- 03
A calm finish
Finishing care is selected to soothe the area, followed by practical guidance for home.
“Comfort comes from more than technique. It comes from clear communication, unhurried care and knowing what to expect.”
EMBER

Prepare for the appointment
- Allow enough hair growth for the wax to hold—around 6 millimetres is a useful guide.
- Gently exfoliate about 24 hours beforehand, not immediately before.
- Avoid sunburn, tanning and strong active skincare on the treatment area.
- Choose loose, breathable clothing for body waxing appointments.
The first day after waxing
Keep the area cool, clean and free from avoidable friction. Hot baths, intense exercise, direct sun and perfumed products can feel uncomfortable on freshly waxed skin.
Once the skin feels settled, gentle exfoliation between appointments may help maintain smoothness. Follow your therapist’s guidance if your skin is particularly sensitive or prone to ingrown hairs.
